Taylor St Clair and his team of lighting designers have been providing hands-on design and project management to architects, designers and builders across the United States for over 20 years. With a desire to create the perfect living environment, our technical design approach and up-to-date product knowledge create value to each one of our customers. Lighting Technology Design was built on the foundation of closely working with clients through the entire process to ensure all is being done each and every day to keep the integrity of your home’s design.
LTD operates on a project-based business model; regardless of what stage you are at we are flexible and able to jump in wherever needed. Current knowledge of an industry that is ever-changing and extremely technical; That’s the advantage you have when working with Lighting Technology Design.
Meet the Team
Taylor St. Clair
Taylor St Clair has been in the lighting business since 1997, when he worked in the sales department of Georgia Lighting. Here, he learned how to hand-sketch lighting designs under the tutelage of an original lighting guru. After learning about the industry over the next few years, he realized there was a need in the market to provide clients with a more intimate customer service. In 2006, he founded his own business specializing in lighting design projects. After 9 years, his first creation began to switch gears, and in 2015 he moved on to create Lighting Technology Design to focus on a more high-end project oriented business.

We will meet for a one on one consultation to discuss your needs and wishes, and how we can best meet them by allowing you to experience a variety of options in person, in our North Atlanta showroom conveniently located where 285 and 75 meet. We lay out the most efficient and attractive options on a copy of your project’s actual architectural blueprints, so you can visualize immediately the locations of your fixtures as well as their connections and the systems that power them. This also provides a visual map to put the homeowner on the same page as the installer as far as design expectations; Our drawings will match as closely as possible to the final product.

Our clients expectations of the “perfect living environment” are always quite different so listening to the design team is step one. The perfect lighting environment can only be accomplished by properly using all of the lighting categories through our layering process. Layers of light help us create all of the different looks and functions desired in today’s household.
Specify the Right Products
The new world of LED lighting is ever changing and it’s our job to stay ahead of the curve and know where to go for the best functional and decorative fixtures in each of the categories. Having access to all of the manufacturers allows us to pick and choose accordingly which creates real value to our customers.
Provide the B.O.M.
We have access to product line to hundreds of lighting and hardware manufacturers so once the functional lighting specification is built we can provide the Bill Of Materials which will then allow us to stay engaged and manage the installation process to ensure the integrity of our design is met when all is said and done.
Project Oversight
Keeping the integrity of your lighting design takes time and oversight at the job site level. Assisting in the oversight of the electrical installation makes for a better end result. You can purchase products almost anywhere these days but the professional expertise and product know-how that comes with our products is why we started LTD.guru.
